GR55
The GR55 is the first all Gould designed and
constructed car with major components, such as the carbon
monocoque and gearbox, all being designed and produced
‘in house’ using new facilities. It was
produced in response to the massive demand for cars
with the same championship winning abilities as the
51 but with new engineering advances enabling it to
surpass the 51.
Is essence the GR55 follows the
51 in a number of ways, it features a similar tub shape,
aerodynamics, suspension and controls. However Gould
Engineering worked some key areas to radically improve
performance.
